Me and Carmella had a nice wander yesterday - just to town really. A little photoblog here ---> http://densityofsound.wordpress.c...tral-wander-with-accidental-pubs/

Not really - you've got Blackpool in between the two. It's a decent size, but it's more famous for it's historical importance than the size. It's split in two by the river - the north side is rougher, there's a few massive rough estates and then you get Morcambe which is really grim in bits (and also really suburban in others). The south side, where we are, is older - loads of stone terraces and it's really green. Some bits do have a villagy feel about it in a way yeah.

It's quite interesting - it's like the confluence of loads of different types of houses - there are some massive ones up the road, some old terraces, a sort suburban semi detached estate and a council estate - All within about 1 minutes walk. I can be in open countryside in about 4 minutes or in the other direction here

Its lovely here after being in Fleetwood cos I lived in a flat in the middle of town and you couldn't get anywhere cos it's stuck out on a peninsular so it's like being on an island and there was about 3 trees in the whole place.

Whereabouts? Liverpool side or Lancashire way? I know it going up round Ormskirk and Burscough fairly well - used to ride my bike from wigan as a kid up round the Ribble to southport. Lancaster is really nice. It's a bit hippy, but it's better than Blackpool where it's just aggresive all the time.

It is. S'alright in the winter when it's quieter, but people just go there to get hammered or when they get kicked out of prison or psych hospitals and the like. It's interesting enough but I'm glad to be away.
