The following is a TRUE story.

On my recent hols I was innocently washing up at the designated washing up place at a campsite. The two girls washing up in the washing up place next to the washing up place where I was washing up struck up the oddest of conversations. One of them was telling the other how much she admired and coveted the other's 'spoon-fork'. What is this 'spoon-fork' they speak of? I thought to myself. It was only when I reached the drying - the greatest and most noble of all washing up phases - that it dawned on me. The poor young fools were, of course, referring to a spork!!!! Fear not oh wonderous keepers of the spork legend for I swiftly and with all the skill and guile of a spork itself, tackling a tricky bowl of supernoodles, explained to them about the true identity of their aforementioned implement. They first took me for a jestor and laughed but soon realised that this was not a humorous subject and promised me that in future and for all time they would heed my words and call a spork a spork. And so it was that the good name of sporks was spread and shall be respected in new households and tents across this land.
