A nice cup of coffeeSo - how do you do yours. Normally I just have instant but at the weekend I use one of those plunger coffee pot things.

takes a bit longer but you get more flavour, can't drink instant anymore unless it's an emergency

For quickness instant, black no sugar. But use those cafetiere thingies too. Also got a flashier capuccino/espresso effort that I rarely turn on

instant:
1 heaped, plus 2 heaped sugar, milk - colour should be toffee brown, not some insipid beige
about 4 cups a day

i use this -
thirty quid from argos, bargain
stick a pot on in the morning/afternoon/whenever i get up, and make it last 3 cups
(fill the filter with coffee, up to 4 on the water gauge - it evaporates down to 3 in the time it takes to drink the first two)
before i got the machine, i preferred the trusty old espresso over a cafetière. just a faff to clean it, though.
