admin panel > configuration > [user & basic forum settings] allow signatures
then posters have to check their profiles to make sure they're clicked

me too - but on gybo sigs tend to be pretty low-key & useful... lots of links to myspace & podcasts & websites etc
we could always sabotage crappy 'inspirational' sigs \ /

i'm not too fussed, i reckon there should be a strict ban on large pics or shite phrases and stuff. limit of a few links and a small pic at most if we do ever let people have sigs. i'd probably just turn off viewing peoples sigs personally cos i can't stand em.

sigs annoy me, its like having a banner ad at the bottom of every post, but I have no problems with big avatars (within reason) - they add to the silliness that is TCTE!
Turn sigs on - you can always turn them off in your profile init, and its a good way to advertise your shit
