Erm - nowt much happened today as I'm off work all weekend (face) so I've been poncing about on the tint and watching UK History which is the most Tokyo freeview channel. They have untold ww1 and ww2 documentries in black and white with american voice-overs which I love and seem to be able to watch for hours on end ('specially if there's washing up to be done).
Just found out that I start my new job on Tuesday which means I've left my old job already so I get away without having to have a leaving do - yes!!!
Leaving dos are fucking shite. I hate other people's cos you have to pretend that you've enjoyed working with said tosser but most of all I hate my own leaving dos cos I'm leaving so I don't give a shit anymore but everyone else says you HAVE to have one and it's just cos they're desperate to feel like they have a social life. Also everyone has to pretend that they've enjoyed working with me which - although I am totally face- is clearly not true in all cases.
Oooooo I did a rant!
More another day you lucky people.

Thought I might resurrect this sorry excuse for a blog cos I don't talk about myself enough.
I've just been down in Devon - Dartmoor to be precise - for a week with Gaby. We did lots of lubberly walks in the rain and had cosy nights in. It were cool - especially as I've not been there for a good 10 years and I 'dig it the most' - used to go every year when I was a kid in the good ol' days.
Yesterday when I got back hiccup and I went to the pub and watched the rugby and drank far too much considering we both had things we were meant to be doing that night - my pressing engagement being to have Little Nellie over for dinner which was very nice cos I don't see her enough and we drank huge amounts of wine and I cooked rissotto with mushrooms and smoked bacon and we talked a lot - mostly about the fact that
she's just bought a 60ft long narrow boat to live on!!!!!
.....cool. as. fuck.
Today hiccup and Gaby and I went to the British Library to see a maps of London exhibition which was cool except that me n hiccup were hung-over to fuck and spent most of the tube journey there and the actual exhibition fantacising about iron-bru and lucozade respectively which in the end we got cos by the time we had seen all the maps Gaby was still somewhere near the beginning of the whole thing so we stole out to the shop

I've just got back from my free weekend away.
It was soooooo posh!!! So much so I felt a teensy bit out of my depth. But then Gabs n I were like fuck it - lets just enjoy it and take 'em for everything we can get, doesn't matter if we don't do stuff like we're s'posed to cos we'll never see these fuckers again.
The food was awesome and they had a wicked wine list
Had a wicked time.
We were near Portsmouth so on Saturday we went to see the Mary Rose and the Victory which was cool cos (not many people know this) my great great great great Grandad was Captain (Hardy) of the victory so I got to see his cabin and the hammock he slept in and it was actually surprisingly poignant.

tbh it's more a celebration of the boats. sure the innovation was driven by warfare but you can level that at so much other stuff too.

Today I went to the hospital (sorry to bore you but it is a blog afterall).
They told me that they don't know and that I should come back another day so they can stick a needle in it - I'm really excited.
