Beijing Midi-festivalThe festival has been going for about 4 years, but this time it's bigger and better. It's really good because it seems like the Chinese Fun Police ignore it until it closes (10pm ) and I don't think you have anything like this in the whole country. People are allowed to get drunk/high, and have a mosh/dance without the authorites stopping them.
It's mainly rawk music, which i'm not really into, but I had a stumble around the dance and experimental stages which were pretty good. The only bad things are that the beer situation was very, very poor, and every time i skinned up every amature photographer in China tried to get a shot of me. My german mate, Focker:

Just returned from day two.
The beer situation is better but still not good. They seem to have sorted the sound on both the dance and experimental stages. Today wasn't as crazy as yesterday. I got there, and just lay on the grass eating shrooms and smoking hash. I had a bit of a stomp to Ben Huang and his MC who both were the highlight of the day, along with Lydia: the est girl in BJ.

Everything seems to have improved (beer/sound wise). We spent most of the time smoking and shrooming by the experimental stage which was
The dance tent was pretty shite; just a bunch of Chinese Erol Alkan wannabes 
The Gibson stage was pretty good... i had a nice little dance to some mad African music. The main stage was good too... not many trash metal bands today. Brain Failure (BJ punk) were ok but i've seen them play better. Soundtrack of Our Lives ended the day on a really good note. Hard at work:
