think we need a GTA thread, being the bestest series ever

. even on the ps1 all the freedom and stuff on it was so

and different from anything done before, but which is your favourite? On the PS2/xbox, 3 was just so new, and you never forget how cool it was to just do anything you like when it was first booted up. vice city brought in boats and helicopters and shizz and more stories and generally more polished. then on San Andreas it was just fooking huuuge, and more RPG like with the stuff you could do. and you can never get bored of riding off that kickass mountain on the motorbike

san andreas is the best, easily, i love the way you can run around naked with an afro and a chainsaw

the old ones are class in a different way, but san andreas is summat else, like you got daft stuff like you gotta go and see your girlfriend, and you can go for a ride in the hills

Vice City by miles, it's got humour and great 80s music. San Andreas is a bit too near the knuckle for anyone living in a city.

i think vice city was the best city, going in the nightclub with a flamethrower

i thought san andreas was a little too big, took flipping agges to get anywhere, but is still my favourite being as there was always something new to do

vice city was ace, but feels very restrictive when you go back to playing it after san andreas.

its hard because 3 is really really good but so is vice city, for totally different reasons. ultimately i got to go with vice city because of the music and the colours and the golf clubs, etc.

ive actually gone off gta a lot with san andreas. its too big. i was getting well into the first bit with the taking over of gang area then it moved on to the second patch of land. then i spent fucking ages dealing with an annoying pimp and around that point i just got fed up with it, being a gal and all. its not much fun playing a game where all the female characters (ha! like any of them are given a personality - yeh right) get beaten up and prostituted

i also get frustrated coz i play with my partner and we both have totally conflicting styles. i like to crack on with all the missions but he likes to have a drive and randomly kill people, and die a lot. so when he's playing i get bored and annoyed really quickly.

those games are so frustrating to watch

it's like the most annoying thing about playstation, the games go on for hours and you can watch someone play them for hours, but you end up yelling at people

I never bother with the missions either, I just play it for a couple of hours with the cheats on, wandering round murdering people and imagining they are beans

i love the misssions tho, i like the fact you can kill anyone, like chat your gilfriend up then gun her down

i like the missions. whats the point of playing if youre just gonna switch on all the cheats and run around?

other thing that irritates me is that he's obsessed with finding anything ramp-like. so i'll play for a couple of hours and get stuff done. and he'll play and for two hours he'll jump off the same fucking ramp just to see the car roll. honestly it drives me up the wall, and, yes, causes rows.

we row over computer games. christ is that lame.
