'the elephant man' has a beautiful score by john morris
'donnie darko' has both a great original michael andrews score and an evocative 80s soundtrack ennio morricone's 'once upon a time in the west', especially the bits riffing around the harmonica theme, blow my mind basil poledouris's 'conan the barbarian' score is damn fine, dspite the schlockiness of the movie itself 'manhunter's' shriekback-heavy soundtrack is pretty good

and natural born killers soundtrack is pure genius
it's what i aim for with my mixes to tell a story while playing songs and samples pulp fiction is predictable cos it's one of the best soundtracks ever
