there is a girl i have been teaching all year. at first she didn't stand out in her class. but she was moved around classes and she started to grab my attention as a cheeky twat. she would sit there and refuse to do the work.

then she moved up a grade and started insulting me to my face. what could i do? i tried joking about, i tried turning the other cheek, i tried straight insulting her

at one point i'd just insult her so she couldn't understand, just rant some shit at her as i would at my little brother when he was acting up, but none of these 'strategies' worked

but we moved her up a class, she was with the smart kids who i got along with, and over the weeks her acting like a twat died down.

today she was participating in the lesson, but she was pronouncing bus ticket badly and it took me 3 times to understand what she was saying. i saw her face curl up into that 'fuck off' expression she had practiced so many times. but she stuck with it and we ended up getting the korean for bus ticket on the board

i hope she behaves tommorow, and keeps putting her energy into enjoying herself at school rather than making a poiint

but then again, tomorrow is friday, so who cares
