| Quote: | Police in inner city Bristol have been fully equipped with the latest technology to tackle anti-social behaviour, drug dealing and public order incidents.
The New Deal Neighbourhood Team, which covers Barton Hill, Lower Easton and Avonmeads, are now kitted out with head cams for their regular helmets or cycle helmets.
They are also fully kitted out with mountain bikes to travel around their beat, making them the only mobile team with a filming capability.
...PC Stuart King, Beat manager for the New Deal area, said: "Using the head cams is not only a benefit when it comes to charging and convicting offenders, but it is also a deterrent to potential offenders and provides an element of protection to the team.
"I have tested the system in a vast range of police duties, from patrolling on foot to patrolling on cycles.
"I have recently used the system when investigating burglaries, in public order incidents and when tackling drug dealing."
