Do you ever think...hang on i don't know anything about music. i listen to it, but i just sit there going hmmm do i like this and that's it. you don't learn anything more than a rock would if you played it music 24 hrs a day.

i dunno, from listening to lots of different music you find out what you like, and if you listen and think about what sounds go with what sounds you can sort of get more idea about how music works
maybe it's cos i'm into making music i always try to learn from stuff (although i do like some stuff that i also think is cack which i haven't worked out yet)

i dont know anything about music. i dont even know who or what im listening to half the time. i know if i like it though.

I tried to study music when I was a teenager but I got annoyed by the amount of rules that have to be applied so I gave up learning and started listening to music purely for fun. Now I don't mind that I know very little about music, I just listen and enjoy (if it's good that is). Like flick, I don't know who or what i'm listening to most of the time, and honestly I couldn't care less.
