does anyone know any trekkies???they are famous for being the biggest geeks in the world, and specially if you include people i know on the internet i know tons of star wars fans, but no trekkies
i can appreciate why people think it's cool, new generation was class, the holodeck and cpt picard, but i don't think i've ever met a trekkie
is it just an american thing maybe?

ive seen a lot of trek and i like it, but im not a proper full on trekkie. my mum and brothers are both much more trekkified than i am, but im friends with a few hardcore fans. i probably know more about it than i should but nothing compared to your average trek fanboy. when i worked in forbidden planet years ago they used to come in and try to impress me with their knowledge, but it was more disturbing than anything else. actually they weren't as disturbing as dr who fans. but trek fanboys just dont turn me on the way star wars fanboys do 
theres a trek pub (page's bar) in london where people can hang out in character. ive always thought it would be cool to go. and somewhere in las vegas, i think, there's an Enterprise bridge where you can get legally married, which is almost tempting just for its total tackiness.
you got a favorite trek series then refused? best captain? episode? movie?

I think I've made my movie choice clear. 
Kirk looked better in the uniform and my favourite episode is that one with all the sexual tension between Spock and Kirk...oh, hang on...that's all of them.

I don't think I've ever seen a whole episode. Most/all sci fi on telly is rubbish.

You gotta remember that I was a kid when they first came out - they were ahead of their time then. I had every book ever published at one point but I don't know what my mum did with them

yeh i got that! khan is the best movie, definitely, but i cant help but love the voyage home too original series is best too. my least favorite is ds9, its more like a soap than any of the others and i cant stand half the characters.
