7even - head in a box

usual suspects - it was spacey
snouty

yr lucky I seen them, nnjdmn!

the point about my few is that everyone knows the endin already- or you can work it out from the title. like, I haven't even seen 'the great escape,' but it's a pretty safe bet that an escape is gonna feature fairly prevalently in the plotline...

I don't like films like that. 'snakes on a plane;' damn, that's gonna be a box fulla surprises! what could that movie possibly be about?!

it'd be nice if when they made 'titanic,' they wrote the plot so that the boat misses the iceberg & doesn't sink; just fer a laugh, like.

accidentally? :P

I haven't seen it, but I have a similar hunch about 'death of a salesman.' I reckon the salesman's toast. brown bread. or in other words, simply red. carked it. (which way for the parrot sketch?!)

Can we do it on the wiki reviews d'ya think?
bristle-krs

don't think so, it's bb code not wiki code - on the wikis simply use the wiki templates for spoilers to bookend spoiler-containing material
wraeth

btw snouty in the great escape they dont all escape. steve mcqueen gets recaptured, and a bunch of them get shot. only a few escape totally. i cant believe you havent seen it. its one of the best movies ever. i cant believe that there is anyone who hasnt seen it, in fact. i mean its on every single christmas! theres no excuse!

not having seen the great escape is just as bad as not having seen the first star wars movie (iv). shameful it is.

I'd class that as a pretty mediocre escape, in that case...

what he doesnt know about this movie eh
bristle-krs

it's positively brilliant
flick

its even better than that!

and it achieves an uplifting ending despite having murdered most of its cast. in fact the ending is uplifting even though it ends on mcqueen being put back in solitary confinement. and it has one of the most hummable theme tunes ever.

found this on ruinedendings.com

Quote:
About 70* of them escape, but 50 get caught and shot, including Roger, Mac and Ashley. 11 of them get brought back, including the Scrounger and Steve Macqueen's character, who gets put in the cooler again. The forger goes blind, escapes with the scrounger and then dies. The only Aussie and the two tunnel diggers get away, but these are the only ones we know of who do.

*wikipedia says it was 76..
