I write referring to the article on pg 7 of Sunday's sport supplement, a preview of the League One play - off final between Yeovil and Blackpool.
The article states "Over the past year (Valeri Belakon) has invested 4.5 million in Blackpool" - wrong, he has PLEDGED to invest that money over a five year period. Considerably different to the implication the article makes that the squad is awash with money. Simon Grayson has played the load and free market with skill and signed quality players. The budget for the season has been larger, but certainly not to the tune of millions as suggested by the writer.
The second mistake in the article is where it states "Defender, Ian Evatt, on loan from QPR" - again - wrong, Ian Evatt signed permanently for the club in January ( http://www.bbc.co.uk/lancashire/c...s/2007/01/05/bfc_sign_evatt.shtml)
I cannot imagine the newspaper getting such simple facts wrong regarding a premiership club, but then again - It's only Blackpool so why bother researching your facts?
