If it's dead, let's revive it starting here lol. Let's face it, rave was the greatest thing that ever happened.
2000 | Quote: | One of the most beautiful things I've experienced in my 22 years of life on this planet
is being in a small club in Hollywood at 4am while the DJ was 'spinning pure love' to
the crowd, and every single one of us was totally feeling and immersing ourselves
in the music, and each other...
I couldnt believe what I saw as I looked around... |
2008 | Quote: | | in my experience though free parties are largely habited by crusty psytrancers, kids who are too young to get into clubs (but want to stand next to large speakers) or more recently, trendy twats who think theyre 'slumming' it and being all underground. seems all a bit too drab to me nowadays though - used to be exciting, now ide prefer to have a pint in a nice woodsmoke smelling pub! |

so if it's dead, when did it die?
if it is dead, i feel pretty lucky to have been to a few, to have lived it for a few years. fuck the new ravers thinking it were shit.

is rave dead?i dunno, maybe we'll never know.

i think nu rave is no different to garage. a dance music that i never really got.
the thing is, i reckon that they think that nothing happend since '88 d00d. and now we have, guitaurs! reasonably, if no part of rave is comparable to '88 d00d, except new rave, then the change of adding guitaurs is likely a change wherein it is no longer rave.

hardcore never dies!
people are going to want to go and listen to fast music and dance until the insects decide to take over
like hiphop, there is way too much commercial 'dance music' (see, even the term is commercialised.....) which is annoying, but it's not dead

If it is, surely it was by 2000 anyway?
As it goes, I neither know nor care.
No form of music is dead whilst anyone's playing it or listening to it, however.

| bbob wrote: | i just emailed the famous music historian scaruffi. maybe he knows | he didn't know, and it appears that he labeled my email as spam. no talent bastard scumbag.
i am thinking or writing another email to him:
Dear Scaruffi,
Why did you label my email as spam?
Is it because you are impotent?
Is it because you have a small penis?
I hope you die, scumbag.
Thanks,
Bob
