Highlight of the Week: I found a second grey hair. I then spent 3 hours in bed crying, mourning my lost youth. Then I went out to the lake and took my camera with me. I threw a load of stale bread out to feed the ducks and geese and they attacked it with fervour and then started attacking each other even though there was clearly enough for all of them. This wanton dislay of selfishness depressed me. I took some pictures. One of the ducks waddled straight up to me while I crouched in position with camera at eye and just stood there about 30cm away staring at me. It put the wind up me a bit so I just stared back and let the shutter click repeatedly, stopping only to adjust the shutter speed. The duck was a pretty boring model, but to be fair I wasn't giving the lad any instruction. Some children, who were watching us from a bench laughed in delight. This depressed me further. I went home. |
