movies from the 80s

okay so heres the list of each years top movie money spinners through the 80s. which is your personal favorite? which do you despise? which do you own and adore? and which did you see at the cinema?
flick

okay - so i went with empire.

i own and treasure the first six. i can probably quote a great deal of top gun but i dont have a copy. the only one i didnt see at the cinema is rainman, and im not too bothered about it as a movie either.

if you're thinking 1987 mustve been a slow year, it was probably tom selleck what swung it. all the ladies loved magnum. anyway if you want to see the top ten of each year heres where i got the info
Ninjadmin

it's gotta be raiders
DrCarnage

Empire is my personal favourite.

I despise Top Gun and ET with a passion.

I've seen Empire and Jedi at the cinema but not in the 80s obviously. I saw them in 1997.
Ninjadmin

i remember when i was a kid my dad took me to see all 3 star wars films in a row
bristle-krs

saw e.t., bttf & batman at the cinema

from that list, e.t., bttf, raiders, empire & ghostbusters are all contenders

*has a think*
flick

drcarnage, why obviously? i saw both empire and jedi at the cinema as a kid, we saw jedi a few times. then again when i was a growed up
flick

Think bttf is probably my favourite. Don't own any of them, but then the only films I own are ones that have come free with newspapers.

I've never seen Top Gun.
flick

youve never seen topgun??????????????????????????????????????
bristle-krs

i think i'm a have to go with my gut emotional responses, and vote for 'e.t.'

this list is way better than the other two. the 80s rocked.
flick

PROOF!

bristle-krs

is that busted?

flick

in the year 3000, where they live underwater, and theyre having another 1980s revival.
flick

ive never seen anyone at an 80s do dressed as zz top. its a shame, such easy costumes too.
wraeth

I always have an overwhelming desire to tidy up those beards by plaiting em or summat
flick

plaited beards are cool. ive always found the viking look kind of attractive...
wraeth

Yep I'd do tiny braids with beads in like Capn Jack

That's weak.

You've only yourself to blame; well possibly the parents too

Ferris was a favourite back in the 80s -- Breakfast Club is one of my alltime great films but didn't really get into it until the mid 90s.
