what do they do?
btw, I put brown masking tape over my flash, as advised by you lot, and it makes all my flash photo's a lovely warm colour now. ta for the tip.

ND filters allow you use wider apertures/slower shutter speed than you normally could in whatever kind and level of light you're shooting in.
