If you drank a hot drink afterwards, they might expand in your tummy.  I once ate uncooked cous-cous then had a hot drink and it all swelled up in me and I thought I was going to die. Not taken acid since

Kafka pudding:
"A man sat, in a dank cafe that sweated the scent of desperation. He looked up at the counter, a dismal row of congealing, curling sandwiches lurked menacingly, whilst behind it, the waitresses taunted him, their smiles revealing the promise of a life, a light he knew he would never find.
The sweetness of his pudding tasted like the tang of bile as he shoveled it into his mouth, hoping to find some kind of pathetic warmth, to damp down the endless cold of the endless street, the endless doors locked to him, the endless windows looming, leering over his head, showering him with pools of lonliness, the light that streamed from them, just an aide memoire for his own isolation.
