Quality TV dramaI have finally got round to watching the lakes and am going to rewatch clocking off next. Life on Mars was fucking ace and shameless used to be good I thought, but what other telly drama is well good that I could watch (either by torrent or getting teh DVD)
Not bothered if it's English, American or whatever, I don't really like period dramas about posh people much though.
Is 'our friends in the north' worth downloading for example? Are there any hidden gems I have denied myself through not really watching telly a lot.

thumbs up for 'ofitn' (well, i loved it)
'the camomile lawn'  (it's set in ww2 and is about poshoes, but there are upsides too)
'edge of darkness'
'tinker, tailor, soldier, spy'
'smiley's people'
'cracker' has its moments, can get a bit 'midsomer murders' though ("ooo look! it's that bloke off that programme! a serial killer? never!!!")
'homicide: life on the street'
