Really like the new avatar SK 
I like the idea, but the trouble is that you, mavis, hiccup, bosky, sovietpop and ninj are all really good photographers so it'd be a small sort of competition with one of six known winners from the outset. We could have a handicapping system though - that I'd like 
I'd like a thread on criticism and comment too, I'm too nervous of posting mine on the mothership

we could have a big peoples photocomp for all the really good people with SLR's and shizz and then another one for everyone else with jus our digi cameras?

Ahhh, to be mentioned in such illustrious company 
Not sure if there would be enough entries, but I like the idea of more critisism and comment, cos all I ever do is point and shoot.

What about the plebs with old fashioned gizmos? Or just a category for disposables, so as to make it well fair?

I like the idea cos it's friendlier here innit, we could all get lots better at the point, click and edit thing 
We could handicap the shizzling six so that everyone had a chance of winning.
And we could do 'before' and 'after' i.e. original photo plus the entry after bizzling it. We'd get tips that way on whether we could have cropped, or sharpened, or red eyed it etc better.
Onus on the shizzling six to share their knowledge like Krs with the radio shows etc. My tuppence

Hmmmm not sure that would work tbh. One entry from a shizzler could beat three prole entries hands down and tied behind back etc.
Thinking out loud here ... maybe points for artistic interpretation, technical ability, general loveliness even if it's blurred etc ... then the shizzlers get their points halved unless they've been ultra helpful with comments and top tips ... could get complicated but you get the general way me mind's thinking sorta thing ...

seriously tho, it could work. but since we are still a pretty small website, i reckon stuff like 'assignments etc would be better

TBH I'm not sure it should be handicapped as there's only one way to get better, and that is by getting involved with comps etc - and I still vote on shituns even if they're not technically good.
