It is really sad. Especially when i see the collapsed schools and them trying to get to the many kids inside. I keep thinking of the students i used to teach.
The numbers are staggering, but small given China's population. I'm trying to imagine what would happen if a quake of that size struck one of the major cities on the east coast and the number of casualties are really imcomprehendable. |

i've been reading an excellent book about china )the great wall by julia lovell) and it convinces me more and more that same as america china is really just a bunch of countries like europe or the middle east |
