I had tapes in my walkman which were either the happy mondays, a mix of stuff I'd taped or a levellers album. Oh, I forgot, kingmaker too.

Mine's probably Safe as milk by Cpt Beefheart, because it's been my favourite album since I first heard it when I was about 14.
I got hoyed out of a German lesson at school for putting a tape of it on the machine in the language lab while the teacher was out of the room in fact.

In the old days we didn't have CDs. Tapes and tape players with an auto loop function were the thing.
Therefore the album I listened to the most is probably The Police - Regatta de Blanc which was one of the first tapes we had and we had it on vinyl so it was played relentlessly for a time.
Until the tape screwed up of course.

Many a happy hour using a pencil to wind a chewed up tape back in.
Hmmm, probably Kate Bush, The Kick Inside.
