I just finished watching The Changeling, and am reading what folk on IMDB had to say about it.
It had a couple of moments, but on the whole it wasn't anything like tense or scary. I watched The Haunting the other night and that was much better. But that wasn't nearly as good as The Innocents. Think I'm gonna watch Ghost Story in bed now - tis supposed to be good. Didn't get up till about 11 today so I'm not tired - not got work till 1pm tomorrow so I can have a late one. |

I just got in from Glasgow - had a great overnight stay, really impressed with the place tbh. Best city I've been to in ages. Loads to do and not pretentious or expensive. good times as I believe da yoot say. | ||||

i bought plywood and hardboard so we (read: the boy) can make shelves tomorrow. ive done all the planning and buying, he gets to enjoy actually using the powertools he's been accumulating and letting get dusty, and do some stinky painting too.
i also bought a load of cheap curtain lining and some sale witch covered cotton for my kids curtains so thats my tomorrow planned, making curtains, lining the ones we already have. check out the gendered division of work in my house! it all has the same value though, and thats the main thing eh. now im having a nice cup of (instant) coffee before i go upstairs to watch, apparently, "tarzan and jane". |

nah, i've grown out of internet forums. i read urban cos it's good for links and stuff and i'll continue to post here cos i like the atmosphere (when there's people around) and it's one of the few forums that isn't one big slanging match. i hate forum politics. i should be doing something productive like reading, writing or plotting to take over the world. |

plots: i have a few, but i think movies have stolen them all
politics: i mean how people on forums know everyone else on forums and everything that happens in other forums. if people have different handles on urban than they do on here then i wouldn't even know about it |

I've been to the Chinese buffet restaurant and ate lots. Actually I didn't eat that much, don't see much point in making myself feel sick and bloated just cos it costs the same whatever. I see some people piling their plates up and wonder where they put it.
Been considering giving a mate a call who claims to have some pollem - not smoked any in age, not even this millenium. Could do to do some housework and I dunno whether being stoned doing it would be more enjoyable what with having some music on to shuffle along to and stuff, or whether I'd just end up monging out on the sofa. |

Not done any housework - just got back from me mates and brought some of said so-called 'Pollem' back with me. Not touched any of it yet but it both smells and looks great and fluffs up nicely when burnt. And so I'm not gonna bother with the housework. I have wine, I have 'pollem', I have Wii, I have DVDs, I have top quality pornography, I have books...

I have stuff to smoke, but I've kinda gone off it. Never liked smoking on my own much, and no-ones as druggy as they used to be. Can't really be arsed with it.

I quote like smoking on my own. I prefer indicas to sativas these days, as an indica will slow me down and melt my physical tensions away - a body stoned. Whereas Sativas don't allow me to enjoy the moment so much - they perk me up a bit, make me restless even sometimes if I'm already in that mindset. Sometimes when I'm monged out on some nice indica the last thing I need is a conversation - it's nice just to slump in the sofa and relax in the moment with no distrurbances other than a movie. |
