Rogue kisses Gambit as the world is ending. This issue kicks off the AoA alternate Universe. When the world is set to rights, this kiss will have very big consequences as Rogue absorbs his memories and puts Remy in a coma!

Gambit, with Nightcrawler a close second. Wolverine was cooler when he was Weapon X.

The Bishop episodes on the whole time-travelling shnizz were don.

There used to be a wicked comic shop near me. Closed down years ago now. RIP Bluesilver comics
bristle-krs

i remember the days when you could actually get a decent range of readables in normal newsagents

ken douch in knockholt for all manner of ipc/dct thompson; the newsagent just outside the walnuts in orpington for marked down dc thompson/ipc (they always forgot to sort out their returns ); derek's in green street green for marvel & dc, plus adult stuff; the post office in the crescent, green street green, for horror, fantasy and geek mags, as well as a decent range of the mature comics & dc/marvel stuff...

them's were the days
bristle-krs

and then up to that there london every couple of months for the forbidden planet/comic showcase/gosh axis
J77

Comic showcase -- was that around Covent Garden way? Used to get Judge Dredd shit from there.

MC1 in Camden deserves a heads-up too.
Ninjadmin

i remember when i was a kid and there were loads of comics that folded after about 20 issues as well trying out new stuff/breaking new artists etc as well, some even made it to the little village i grew up in
J77

I once went to a comic thing at the watershed -- loads of weird old man trying to hand off their horror comics.

Heh, I used to spend happy days bouncing around that very axis

Forbidden Planet and Gosh are still where they always were. Think Comic showcase has moved though.
J77

Yeah -- I did the tintin shop -- and the kite shop -- used to get massive kites from there -- then slam city skates when it opened.

Everything I needed in one location
hiccup

Oh no, google says Comic Showcase is no more

bristle-krs

hiccup

I wonder what happened to all my comics? Hmmmm.
hiccup

I used to get Hate! from Gosh. Fucking hell, wish I knew where they were now. My favourite comic ever.
bristle-krs

gosh was great for small press stuff & zines, and it was conveniently close to the bloomsbury bookshops like unsworth rice & coe, and skoob on sicilian avenue wasn't too far either, and then there was the british museum too
hiccup

bristle-krs
