Xbox360 v PS3 v Wiihello coolanites, what is your opinion on the best new games console next gen thing?my ps2 has packed up now so got nothing to play 
the one id most like is a ps3, only because it annoyingly has my 2 favourite games as exclusives (gran turismo and f1) however its flipping expensive so will probably be another year at least till its cheap enough to be affordable and by then im at uni so it wont. 
xbox looks real nice, but there dosent sem to be many cool games for it yet, dont really like all the shoot everything stuff. probly wont get a wii because it wont have gta but maybe one day, after i have another one.

i want ps3 as well. they have made a bit of a mess of it, but i don't like the xbox for some reason, wierd controlers and stuff. i might buy the wii cos it's got that joypad where you are staning up pretending it's a sword and it only costs 100. but nintendo seems to be more aimed at kids than the other two.... | ||||||||

yeah, the main problem with ps3 is its price i think. the blu-ray is expenisive, but they had to put that in being as sony are pioneering it in the first place. i think they should of made it a little less powerful though, being as you can barely tell the difference between ps3 and xbox games. that would of made it cheaper. also the new controller dosent even have shock :S my mates getting a wii tomorrow, shall see what its like. i dont think its kiddie that much, but just trying to appeal to non-teenage spotty guys

i remember when ps1 came out and t cost 300 pounds. noone had it till they rereleased it about a year later for 120 and games like tekken and ISSPro came out
so am not buying one for a year i reckon. probly just play on my laptop till then |

I've got a 360 and it's great! There is a bit of a lack of games but they're starting to sort that out now. I'm sure a price drop is imminent too. The Wii looks like a lot of fun - more aimed at group games (although zelda looks like the dogs ).
I may get a wii as well but want to see one in the shops first. |

Got project Gotham which is pretty good although I'm not a huge driving game fan. Looks wicked and very playable. The only real problem is there's no two player mode. 
My mate fish has pretty much finished it. I just sit there and watch him coz I'm normally too pissed/buzzing to play

What the fuck is the point of a driving game with no two player mode? Got a Gamecube and a PS2 (well, the PS2 is Barney's), but hardly ever use em. Just installed Ghosts and Goblins on my phone though

right, am definetly buying one after exams ive decided. I dont have a HDTV, just a normal one, but does it matter too much? i might buy like a 20inch lcd one in a few months saw one in the paper for £200. gunna go for the premium one, which is the only way to go really for the harddrive and shizz, if anyone sees a good bundle around the £300 mark then give us a shout and ill be most grateful hopefully will get Elder Scrolls:IV Oblivion & Project Gotham to start off with.

Game are doing a bundle for £299.
1 Xbox 1 hard drive (I think - best check) 2 wireless controllers 2 games of your choice. Game are normally well expensive too so I bet there's some great deals online. |

sounds alright, theres quite a few budles around at the mo, usually you get one of the new games (which is almost always gears of war) then a cheaper one like ping pong or a launch title like project gotham. plenty o time

Get a 360 J. The games have started to drop in price and you can get loads second hand/off the net. The PS3 will well expensive for ages when it comes out.
Having said that I'm thinking of getting a Wii when I'm feeling flush - no pun intended.  Hoping to get the Nanster into gaming!

yep its going to definetlly be a 360. my last exam is on tues, so order on the weekend and hopefully delieverd around then. plus the PS3 seems to be doing pretty shitty in america and even japan, and its just waay too much. gamestation are doing this offer where you get a xbox and any 2 games you like for £319 which looks a bit snazzy. will probably get project gotham 3 and elder scrolls oblivion. ill be able to play the doc at stuff online

tis a fab machine indeed
setting up live was really easy, connected the ethernet thing to my laptop, set up a network bridge and then it was done. took all of 5 minutes. plus when you sign up they give you a month free of live, and you can download demos of all the new games and everything.
yeah i like fps, but not stuff where you just run around mindlessly killing everything, COD3 looks real nice though, will downlaod the demo. doc if you set up a live account my gamertag is eatmorejosh

I don't have the money for all this tomfoolery at the minute, but i'm very much torn indeed!
The wii is cheap and very cool, and has some good games already. The 360 is still somewhat expensive, i don't have a HD tv which cause problems with some games apparently as some of the smaller text becomes almost illegible, but it too has some decent games out and incoming ones. The PS3 is waaaay expensive, but will have the best games IMO (mainly continuing series' that i love on the PS2, etc) and all the other advantages over the 360. Will have to wait a long while though before it becomes cheep-cheep(er). I think the wii is the way forward for now, until HD CRT's finally get picked up properly in europe (there's only one or two at the minute and they're a bit iffy), so that i can get the most out of a 360 or PS3. LCDs and plasma are sheeeit. Plus i've got loads of gamecube games that i could play on the wii. Think the wii is teh way forward, when i can afford one and more cool games appear. |

I've haven't played on a PS3 yet so I can't comment on that.
The 360 seems great from what i've seen and played, but the games out at the moment don't seem that amazing (except Gears of War, but i only played a couple of levels). Halo 3 should be good though. I played on my mate's Wii last week and fell in love with it: cheap, easy to pick up and fantastic multiplayer. Very original. |

yeah the problem with the 360 is that there are a lot of shooty games, i dont mind one or two like graw, halo of gears of war but not 6000. got table tennis yesterday which is ace. wii is amazing, definetly something ill look at in around a years time when theres loads of games out.
