Modest Mouse are one of them bands were you really do only need one album cos this sounds like the one before, almost exactly. Which isn't a bad think. Like if the Beatles took a lot of speed and lived in a texan diner for a bit instead of what they did and weren't all that famous.

It's OK. Not brilliant. The Robbie Williams track is a bit shit.

Fabric Live 30 - Stanton Warriors

before that I listened too

Battles - Mirrored

which tbh I wouldn't bother with - The second and the last tunes are good, rest was pretty boring.

Ah. It's the zany bit I like. There's too many po faced guitar bands these days.
When I heard Battles for the first time it was the first "wow! that's different" moment I've had in a while. The track Atlas will almost certainly be on my soundtrack of 2007.
But each to their own, otherwise we'd all have a Kylie fixation.

Atlas is the one thing on it I think is outstanding as it happens - I had another listen on the big speakers and yeah, liked it better this time and can imagine listening again, so maybe was a bit harsh.

New Ukulele Orchestra of GB that arrived this morning. Quite good (especially their version of God Gave Rock n Roll To You), but they're always better live.

And
some old Amen Andrews.

That's 'dead flag blues' and it's quality... not listened to this for about 6 or 7 months and it's just amazing. Proper opened my mind to music this record did. If I could only have one record it would be this one I think.
