I have a horrible feeling you are right.
I LIKE newcastle, always have done. I remember the days of hibbit, nattrass, supermac, etc.
I don't think glenn's gonna cut it.

i remember when he got the job and nufc.com pointed out that if he had applied when souness got the sack he would never have got it, but he was offered the job on the basis of 10 games....

douggie hall is nowt like as clever as his dad, sir john turned the club into a massive cash cow by not being too stingy, since he took over it's been nothing but stinginess, used to be a 3 year waiting list for a season ticket now attendances drop every game

with newcastle fans and their famed passion/loyalty?
that's shocking!
aye, dougie ain't a patch on sir john. the old man got the entertainers in, the place got a buzz.
sir john saw you needed that, after all those lean years

the ground will never be empty, but when we were really shit it wasn't a 50'000 capacity stadium. and everyone has limits

sir john was a cunt as well, but he was shrewd. he realised the money would keep coming in if he kept spending. shepperd and hall make about 30m a year between them from their wages. if 20m of that went on players we would still be chasing liverpool and arsenal. we used to always beat teams like tottenham and villa now they are 10 places ahead of us

it's gonna be a long winter

i read the match report this morning. fucking luque scored and our 18 year old keeper was man of the match

apparently we are now 1 point away from the knockout stages

gotta feel sorry for martins. he's one of those players who i've liked for years. similar to craig bellamy in terms of devastating pace and finishing but not a drunken woman hitting cunt. but fat freddy goes over the managers head and blows the transfer kitty on someone like him ad infinitum. remember when we had no money cos we had to have kluivert, or luque or the rooney fiasco, or owen, or keeping alan shearer out of retirement for fuck knows what kind of money

3 different managers, one common theme. we will never win anything with shepperd hall in charge. and the halls want to sell

FUCK OFF FREDDY!!!

all spot on, and it's the one thing Alan Sugar never understoode about the business of football, but youbng dan levy does, which is why the latter's doing a good job at white hart pain and the former is still reviled there (despite him being a better businessman than any other club chairman of the past 20 years).

i wouldn't actually put it past us to beat arsenal away just to spite all the fans who turn up at SJP every home game to watch another abject performance....

they weren't bad (newxastle0 but we still should have won. same old arsenal - dominated, had most of the possession, failure to kill it off at home.
however, if given, dwyer and those defenders play like that every week, Newcastle will survive.
If they don't it could be rocky.

i dont think there is a serious relegation threat tbh

maybe ill change my tune in a few months, but with the teams at the bottom two wins and youre usually safe.....

didnt see the game but its an excellent result

how can we breeze through a fairly tough group with our reserve team, and then struggle to get a point in the league
