i used to listen to rob d banks easy listening show, religiously. he did a sengement called cheesy or baleric - where listeners would have to vote if a tune he picks is cheesy or not. i reckon the key was - all cheese is baleric. it's just kinda relaxing.

i think a lot of people get it wrong

the cheesiest drumnbass in the world is not hospital or john b just cos they use a lot of house samples, what i would call cheese is shit like dillinja and mampi swift who just make it by numbers

you can tell house sample cos they use vocoders (that effect daft punk used on all their songs with singing in) or violin sort of stuff. you know what i mean bob, the bits with dudes singing and 70s guitar samples etc

the really depressing thing about dillinja and swift is that if you listen to what they were making 10 years ago it is a lotmore futuristic than what they make now

all the liquid funk samples then. i only ever used to go to hard house, which i don't really remember being very laid back.

i thought it was ok, but it was kind of boring for me, all that flat beat stuf didn't ever get me

beginning reminds me of that underwater love song. i'm not sure my system can handle it. breakcore or whatever seems to be to be a bit ironic tho in it's hardness.

well, usually it means a missed beat - but i meant just that a break or whatever isn't used for a long stretch of the music. tbh that's what annoyed me about breakcore when i first heard it - that they wouldn't use a gabba break for more than a few seconds. wimps

imo [i go on about my theories of aesthetics too much already tbh] but that's about 'music' and not 'aesthetics', which is something that will just pass me by until if i learn to write stuff.

the cleverst photo i took was of a bat cave in mexico - at dusk all the bats [like loads] come streaming down and out the cave. but i didn't have the skills to actually make a picture out of it and it was just a picture of darkness with "2 or 3" blurs.

really annoyed me that - so much so that i hardly even looked thru my photos and certainly didn't show manyone any of them.

yeah i've listened to enough dnd [and it is quite simple - i would guess] and i think that syncopation can be quite addictive - BUT IT'S NOT CLEVER. Imo have i pissed youse off yet - i have a habit of picking at musicians - the last guitarists [a friend of a friend] eventually told me to fuck and that "you know, you're really beginning to get on my nerves"
