They've moved the Friday night/Saturday morning slot to 12.30 which is

But this week they showed a dire one of Data trying to have a girlfriend then the next one was the first half of the final part of Picard's Klingon arbiter of succession thing.

Why couldn't they have put the two Klingon succession episodes on back to back?

Fucks hake.

TNG is shit when they try and make it character driven. Fuck off, give us some aliens. And as for those interminable episodes when they're on the cunting holodeck and nowt happens.....

On a more positive note, at least the later series don't have the arch-irritant Wesley Crusher in them.

You can see the reasoning behind his inclusion in the early series: -
"OK, we made the original Star Trek, and there were no kids in it, and kids loved it. So what we need to do is put a child character in it so that kids can identify with him, because kids nowadays are thick as fuck."

Yes, they really lost the plot on that.

But he was a decent clean cut lad and I bet he washed behind his ears.

And another thing. Why is Deanna Troi always on holiday when they're faced with a mission when her psychic skillz would come in particularly useful (for a change -- as opposed to the usual "I sense hostility in this alien bloke who's just tried to blow you head off with a raygun" shit)?

Other than that the episode would last about 5 minutes if she was there, like.

We organised it so she was allowed holidays button. If the Star Trek bosses all had that attitude no-one would get any time off

All very well and good, but it's not like being a counsellor is a proper job. She should be glad of the work, imo.

What I don't get was Data's memory failure this episode. I'm pretty sure he gave Tasha Yar a seeing to on a previous occasion and he was acting all innocent like this time

He did indeed -- in the first series, when there was that outbreak of space virus that made everyone act daft.
