| Word doesn't embed fonts, AFAIK, so it'll just come out in Arial or something. |

Got an evaluation version of Altsoft FTmaster which can lift fonts from a PDF file - so in theory all I would need to do is convert Little Nellie's Word document into a PDF file then 'ave at it with Altsoft.
In fact, I know that works because I set Altsoft on the PDF that I was working on originally. It got the font - no problem. But the originator had made it a read-only font.
When I got the fonts that dennisr (cheers dennis ) sent me, they were in OFT not Type 2. Altsoft could have converted those to Type2 BUT it's an evaluation version so won't save any editing/conversion. 
So I'm hoping that if Little Nellie sends me a Word doc with Optima I'll be able to do make it a PDF with no security on fonts and editing etc and do something with it. Chances are it won't work though.

No, because the fonts won't be embedded in the Word document, so you'll lose them in that step. |
